TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Tuesday that the ongoing eighth-round Vienna talks on the restoration of the 2015 nuclear deal are in a "better direction" than previous rounds.
The Iranian minister made the remark in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera English news channel, according to Iranian Foreign Ministry's website. (Iran-Nuke Talk-Vienna)

CAIRO -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi on Tuesday voiced Egypt's support for Palestine in resuming the stalled Middle East peace talks focusing on Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to the Egyptian Presidency.
Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the ongoing World Youth Forum which is being held in Egypt's Red Sea report city of Sharm El-Sheikh, according to a statement of the presidency. (Egypt-Palestine-Meet)

ANKARA -- Turkey on Tuesday reported 74,266 new COVID-19 cases, the highest daily figure on record, raising its tally of infections to 10,117,954.
The death toll from the virus in Turkey rose by 137 to 83,980, while 39,226 more people recovered in the last 24 hours, according to the Turkish Health Ministry. (Turkey-COVID19-Record)

JERUSALEM -- Israel reported a new daily record of 37,887 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the caseload in the country to 1,576,780, said the Israeli Ministry of Health.
The new daily figure is much higher than the previous record of 21,514 new cases reported on Monday. (Israel-COVID19-Record)
