KATHMANDU, Nepal - At the National Innovation Centre in Kathmandu, the Israeli Embassy has developed a Research and Development Hub and a high-tech model classroom.
The Israeli government opened a full-fledged Israeli-styled high-tech classroom with laptops, webcams, digital display screens, in-built sound systems, air conditioning, glass boards, furniture, and other necessary equipment, recognizing the critical importance of R&D Hub for the nation's holistic development.
The hub will be Nepal's first R&D-cum-high-tech class to develop and exchange creative ideas among researchers.
In addition, the R&D center will act as a point of contact for collaboration with R&D-related international organizations. It will facilitate the exchange of ideas among researchers to generate novel ideas.
The center's opening ceremony was held Sunday at the National Innovation Centre in Kirtipur in the presence of Hanan Goder, Israel's ambassador to Nepal, Tal Shvartsman, Deputy Chief of Mission, and Mahabir Pun, NIC's chairperson.
Ambassador Goder, speaking at the ceremony, said, "Only through researching scientific advancements can we improve our way of life.
This is what propelled Israel forward, and I am honored to be involved with this center, which will aid Nepal's progress."
